Sleik.is is a playful corner of the internet built in Iceland. Our goal is simple: make it ridiculously easy to jump into a fun game in under a minute.

1. What Is Sleik.is?

Sleik.is is a browser-based game platform with a mix of quick solo games and multiplayer matches. You can drop in for a short brain break, hunt for a personal best, or challenge friends.

2. What You Can Play

The game library includes puzzles, classics, and competitive favorites, for example:

Word games like Wordle and Skrafl
Multiplayer games like Battleship, Milla, and Uno
Classics like Tetris, 2048, Sudoku, Minesweeper, and Flappy Bird
Iceland-focused games like Staðasleikur

Some games work instantly without sign-in, while others support accounts, stats, leaderboards, and challenges.

3. Our Build Philosophy

Fast entry: minimal friction before your first game.
Bilingual by default: Icelandic and English across the platform.
Fair play: we actively moderate cheating and leaderboard abuse.
Constant iteration: we tune games and UX based on real player feedback.

4. Behind the Scenes

Sleik.is is powered by a practical stack focused on reliability:

Node.js + Express for the web app
PostgreSQL for account/game data and leaderboards
Socket.io for real-time multiplayer gameplay
Firebase services for selected auth and game features

5. Why We Keep Building

We love games that are easy to start but hard to master. Sleik.is is our ongoing project to collect those moments: the close win, the impossible comeback, the accidental high score, and the "one more round" feeling.
